Our standard finishes of choice are high-quality, next-generation water-based polyurethane made from whey protein. They are at least as durable as oil-based products, but nicer to your family and the environment.
Other services offered are hardwood floor restoration, board replacement, scratch removal, carpet removal, and floor repair. We do not use sub-contractors.
"Todd was the best bid, outstanding work and he was really, really accommodating. This process could have really inconvenienced us, but it didn't really. The floors are beautiful in my 70 year old house." - Emma R.

"We would highly recommend Todd! He did an amazing job, which included the installation of new hardwood floors on our first floor in addition to refinishing our existing ones, and made them all flow seamlessly. We are so happy with the results!" - Leanne T.
"From beginning to end Horst Hardwood was prompt, professional, cleanly, and did incredible work. The hardwood floors in my home were original from 1935 and he restored them to look brand new! Very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend them for any restoration job in the Pittsburgh area." - Christen B.
"Horst Hardwood does fantastic work. Our 90-year-old oak and pine floors in our recently-purchased home had been under carpet for 40+ years and had even been painted over at one point. He cleaned them up, sanded them down, stained them a fantastic color, and finished them with several satin polyurethane coats. The grain came out in amazing ways and the floors look fantastic. They're the best part of the house." - Theo C.
